Improved JavaScript-based Featured Content section
In previous templates produced by FalconHive, you always need to access into ‘Edit HTML’ mode to configure the JavaScript-based featured content section. For Zinmag Primus template, you can just click on the ‘Edit’, a tool-like button appeared in the Featured Content section on the homepage, paste the corresponding code and you are ready to go!
Twitter Updates to meet the Twitter fashion
As Twitter has achieved its million user base, we decided to meet the fashion by integrate Twitter Updates section into Primus template. It’s great that Twitter already got integration feature with Blogger years ago, now it should be the booming feature for this template!
Tag cloud, dynamic link for your blog
It’s interesting to implement the tag cloud into the Primus template to make the link looks dynamic and professional. Although Blogger template does not have tag feature, you can simply create one in Tag Cloud Generator by configure the link manually.
4 Gadget section on footer without number limit
Unlike other template’s footer gadget section which was always set for specific purpose, Primus does not have function and even number limit for the gadget. With creativity in mind, you can create unlimited number of gadget in these 4 section, just keep in mind that you don’t overload the template!

Love the layout, was wondering if there was a way to make a small change.
If you have a post with alot of text it can be hard on the eyes. The layout has the text very close to the edge of the post area, is there a way to give it some more padding on both sides?
No idea where in the code I would go about changing that or adding it in.

I have currently received several reports about the slider isn’t working, it’s mainly because of the hosting issue, and I have create a solution for everyone.
To activate the slider, you can access into ‘layout’ and under the ‘Edit HTML’ tab, press [CTRL+F3] to find the code below:

Thanks for your report and question!
As we feel that blogger can have more freedom on the footer section, we have abandoned the ‘recent comment’ and ‘recent post’ design, and probably modified some codes to make the footer section available to all Blogger gadget. I have cleared the ‘recent comment’ and ‘recent post’ code in the Zinmag Primus 2.0, to help blogger easier to recognize and customize the template.

I’m currently using this for my new blog. But I’m having a bit of an error.
You can notice a white box on the 3rd column on the footer. I don’t know why it turns white. But it just turns white every time I put the popular posts code on it.

The java/html white stuff is removed if you leave the title blank… good for banners only i guess.

But How do I remove the ads as i do not want them at all. Just want to make the white area, grey instead.

Alvaris, sorry I’m so heavy! jaja but I’ve managed to make the slide work again…I’ve just uploaded the template again. The thing is that I could removed the white box at the top yesterday following the ‘barone’ indication you gave but now-after the re uploaded thing- I can’t get rid of it!! I’ve followed the same instruction but is still there. What am I doing so wrong?

Reg: Twitter updates on Zinmag Primus.
Twitter has a feature. One can change his/her user name. Whenever the user name is changed s/he has to get into the Zinmag Primus template and replace the old user name of the Twitter with the changed new user name. This would automatically update the tweets on the blog.
Alvaris, please feel free to edit the comment. I left it here because it might help others with same Twitter problem.

I only have one problem. The images on he featured section are not showing up. The text shows up fine but in the area qere the image is supposed to go I only get a small white square in the upper left corner.

You can center the adsense ads by adding <center> and </center> tags before and after the adsense ad code respectively.
To make the date appear try changing the timestamp format from the setting :- formatting section of the blog.

I’m using Zinmag Primus 1.0, and got some success so far, since I got limited knowledge about java script and HTML.
Right now, the issue that bothers me the most, is when I see my blog either with IE 8 or Chrome. Despite everything looks fine under Firefox, the same doesn’t happen under IE 8 and Chrome. The sidebar and the bottom bar just disappear when I view the blog using those two browsers.
Why is that happening?
Other issue is, TWITTER. It doesn’t update. It remains always at the same link.
The incapability of my Blog to work correctly under IE 8 is making me loose a lot of viewers in this past two weeks.
Could you please, help me on those issues?

But the v1 of it had a nice drop down menu that we lost when I upgraded to version 2 — the gadget doesn’t seem to leave room for the drop down menu from the first version.
What do you suggest I do in order to get my drop down back?

Thanks for your comment. We have removed the drop down menu because there were many bugs associated with it.
This template had many issues. Hence we released the version 2.0
All I did was copy and paste the real code from the old one and hard coded my menu — changed nothing else — and removed the navigation gadget from the template manually —
the drop-down menu reappeared.

the Error which you are getting is because of the Arrow Image whose url you have not added to the template code.

The add paid element feature is absent only in the header section. This is to avoid the layout problem.
You are getting a white space because you have not added all the images to the template. Please check it again.

I’ve finally fixed the slide. Now it’s working perfectly. The thing was I had a wibiya bar and once I removed it, the slide work again!.
I don’t get how to remove the white bar at the right top of the header, though!

Hi!, I’m sorry It’s me again! but I’ve found today that my slide is not displaying properly. I’ve updated the firefox- I don’t know if this is important- but I feel rather frustrated because other sites with this template display without any problems. Do you know what could probably happen? I haven’t installed anything since I made the slide work! it just stopped working when I updated the firefox. Anyway in the dashboard it’s always working!

I just love this template. While the image in the slider gets changed, the image was not suiting properly within the box. I just added
margin: -30px 0 0 0;
below the
.slide img {
now its fine :)

Another thing i forgot to mention is that the margin is needed if you use image size of 250×200

hi, I’m new around here. I have found out this template on the web and its really awesome to have slide to work and stuff and I really like it a lots to put in on my blog, first I have it 1.00 then when I found out there is 2.00, I am immediately updated to 2.00 since there is slider to move around and that’s why I was so interested with that. But when I kindly start to put things like widget and stuff. The slider wasn’t move again, I notice that many people had the same problem with me, the first time I tried the slide, it was move of course but when there is so much things I put in there, the slide wasn’t move. And there is no sign “stop” on the right of the slide. My other problem :
